Qualitative Methods
The purpose of using qualitative methodology is to get insight into a someone opinions in such a way that wouldn’t be possible with collecting through surveys. Categorising and grouping ideas in to manageable chunks that become easily digestible.
Thematic Analysis: Grouping relating and similar information together into pre-defined themes.
Inspiration Card Workshop: A workshop to develop new ideas by combining a set of customised cards (technology cards based on different common day tech, and domain cards based on the area that gets design for)
Affinity Diagram: Writing down key points from a data collection session and grouping them together (e.g. with post-it notes)
UX & UI
User Experience is the deeper level of visceral experience that a person feels when using a system. Making it a very nebulous, and often times, hard thing to describe.
User Interface is the visual component that a person interacts with and sees.
Usability
Fundamentally, design is made on usability, with how the user interacts with it, with the user experience first coming later. It sets into words how a system is approached by the user, so that the developers can focus on what is important.
Learnability: How quickly a person can learn a new system to great level.
Efficiency: How effective a person can navigate a system to work with proficiency.
Memorability: How quickly a person can pickup a system again, after returning to it after period of time, to establish proficiency.
Errors: How quickly a person can recover from encountering an error.
Satisfaction: How pleasant a design is.

3D modelling and sketching
Primarily using the open-source 3D program Blender. Using it to create more detailed mock-ups, exploring ideas by using a semi-sketching method, 3D printing, and developing new concepts.
Software Development
The use of Event tables, BOOM lists, User cases, Class diagrams, Quality Assurance, SCRUM, and Agile. All methods for facilitating design work by defining the concrete aspects of a system, framing the design space within in something that is more manageable to solve.
